Chapter 2940   The Fall Of A Deity 2

The only means of communication that they shared was the directed audio amulet that he, unfortunately, destroyed with his own hands!

Ah Jiu, where are you?

Where did you go?

Suddenly, he was reminded of a place where he might be able to find her. Without wasting any time, he dashed off in that direction.

…Di Fuyi was headed to the Forbidden Land of God, which did not belong to any of the six worlds.

The sky was now a dark tint of royal blue.magic

Meanwhile, a grand hall of primitive simplicity was loosely hung in midair like magic. From the top of the hall, it felt so close to heaven that one could be drawn to reach for the stars above.

Clouds lingered underneath Gu Xijiu’s feet in the jade hall. The entire place shone with vibrance and was absolutely scenic. Even Gu Xijiu found the place to be magnificent; and, it just so happens to be where she was born.

It was also here that she awoke from her deep, long slumber. She remembered stepping out of the place right when she woke up.

Although the place offered spectacular scenery, she was quite reluctant to come by.

The place was dead silent, which was nothing like the lively world out there. There was no sound at all, not even the breeze. It was as if time stood still here. Yet, the ominous silence was depressing, as it made Gu Xijiu feel like it was the end of the world.

She liked to be in crowded places and was always fond of the city noises, which was why she loathed the stillness of the place. If she had the choice, she would not choose to return to this place.

However, there she was again, back to point zero, where everything started. She did not have much time to spare.

She had to make it to the top of the hall before her immortalization. The array formation was already well set, so she could channel her final strength as a mighty God to support the foundation of all six worlds.

The Star Formation was the key to everything. Therefore, hastily, she found her way to the edge of the formation and sighed as she gazed upon the brightest star in the middle.

The people of the six worlds often thought that she refused to be involved in the affairs of the world. They only saw her as a carefree woman traveling from one place to another.

No one knew that she was actually the lifeblood of the six worlds. She was the reason that life existed in a flourishing and prosperous panorama.

Once she was immortalized, the very foundation of the six worlds would certainly be greatly affected. Natural disasters were only the beginning, and things would get worse. The entire world might even collapse altogether. Therefore, she needed to enter the array formation before her immortalization struck. The formation would absorb her strength as a God and channel the power back to the six worlds to keep things stable. All the while, she was trying to buy some time until the next creator of the universe took over.

Her soul as a God would eventually become the very essence that supported all the lives in the six worlds.

So, after her death, she would not be reincarnated ever again.

The stars sparkled like diamonds as she walked barefooted to the approach the top. There was a stinging pain in her every step with blood left behind on each star. Her footprint would instantly blossom into a blood-red lotus flower that would then wither away.

From afar, the starry night sky seemed to be decorated with blood-red lotus flowers that looked beautiful yet were absolutely deadly.

With the progress gained from every step, she finally made it to the center, where there was a lotus altar. Faintly, lights glowed from within the base as if gracing her presence.

She slowly traced the altar with her eyes closed and heaved a sigh. Alas, everything must come to an end.

The creator of the universe was always known to be strong and almighty. All beings highly appreciated her compassionate and loving character. However, they often forgot that deep down, she was actually just a girl too.

She came into the world all alone, and now she had to leave alone, too.

She was actually scared.

In fact, she wished that someone was here to walk her through the last moments of her life.

However, she had no other choice but to lead a solitary life.

She looked around while tracing her chapped lips and gazed out at the distant stars and noticed that the place was entirely devoid of wind. Although the surrounding temperature was nothing extreme, all she could feel was piercing cold.

Even without any examination, she could tell that her bodily systems were slowly shutting down. As her strength slowly faded from her body, every inch of her veins slowly turned into ice.

It was so cold.

If only there were someone here to give her a warm hug, for the very last time.

All of a sudden, she thought about the brief embrace that they shared in the glacier. It was a warm and solid hug. She could still remember the faint scent that immersed her nostrils. The way he smiled at her was full of tenderness and affection.
